Created – Music, Coffee, Art

May 4 @ 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm EDT

We whole-heartedly believe that we were created to be creative in our unique way. So, we set aside a few nights each year to show case an array of local artists – including painters, poets, musicians and more! We also have some amazing coffee on brew.

We have an amazing lineup of artists scheduled. This Created will feature Luke Lillard, Phil Hodges (from Physick), and Anthony Quails. We have also invited Michael Minkoff from Renew The Arts to share with us about what they are doing to liberate Christian creativity.

Luke Lillard
Luke Lillard was born and raised in east Tennessee (at the intersection of Nashville country and Appalachian folk). He spent 6 years in New Orleans, LA (the birthplace of jazz), before relocating to the Pacific Northwest in early 2019. He writes confessional songs incorporating elements from all of these places and traditions, seeking to express the truth and beauty of life through honest exploration of life’s pain and joy.

Phil Hodges
Multi instrumentalist Phil Hodges is the primary composer and songwriter from Physick. Difficult to label, Physick’s music richly rewards those who are willing to hear it on its own terms.

Anthony Quails
Returning to Created to perform all new songs, Anthony Quails is a singer/songwriter from Chickamauga GA where he lives with his wife and 2 daughters. His latest album “Before the Bright Lights” was selected by Under the Radar as one of the top independent albums released in 2016. Anthony is about to return to the studio this fall with Jimmy Smith to record his 3rd project titled “The Man I Thought I’d Never Be.”

Michael Minkoff
Michael Minkoff is co-founder of Renew the Arts, a public charity dedicated to liberating Christian creativity. Michael will be talking about the potential promises and pitfalls of liberating Christian creativity, and why Renew the Arts thinks art is the single most important strategic spiritual forum for the next generation.
