JourneyGroups are small groups of people that meet in someone’s home one night out of the week for some time to relax and go through life together.

Life is better lived together.
Relationships are important, that’s why JourneyGroups are all about bringing people together in a small group setting. JourneyGroups are designed to create a comfortable, welcoming environment that encourages discussion and spiritual growth.
How do I get involved with a group?
The easiest way to start building community here at The Ridge is to follow this link. Simply enter your ZIP code and the available groups will be displayed.
Do I have to sign up to join a group?
Yes, that is one of the requirements so we know how many are coming, each home we are in has a maximum capacity we like to respect.
What should I expect after I sign up?
You have now completed the hardest step by signing up. You can now expect to hear from your group leader. They are prepared to answer any questions about your new group.
How does food work at my group?
Gathering around a table to share a meal is a big part of small groups. Each group will have their own way of having a meal, the leader or the host will let you know the first night how food will work.
What if I have to miss a week or two?
No problem at all it happens to everyone ! Life has a way of demanding our schedule at times so just come back and soon as you can.
Do I have to go to The Ridge to join a group?
No, we are open to the community, the more the merrier.
What happens with my kids on group night?
We are very excited about our children and student ministries here at The Ridge, there is a place for everyone.
Typically Wednesday nights are geared towards young families. We offer a full range of opportunities for your family. Times for adult small groups coincide with times for children and student ministries. Here’s a breakdown:
Middle/High school (6th– 12th grades)– 6-8pm at church and dinner is provided.
Elementary school (K-5th grades) – 6-8pm at the church and dinner is provided. Also this group takes the summer off from week to week but does have special events throughout the summer.
Ages 0-5 also 6-8pm at the church, note dinner is not provided.
How do I know my kids are safe?
At The Ridge we have a safety and security team that is at every event throughout the week and special events making sure our people no matter what the size are safe.
Are all children and student volunteers interviewed and background checked
Without question all volunteers in children and youth are vetted and background checked.
Is there child care outside the church setting?
Sometimes group will be able to offer childcare in their home, but most of the time we will open the church most any night mainly because the church is set up for childcare already and most homes are not. That info is always posted in the group description.
Do I have to be a Christ follower to join a group?
No, we understand everyone is in or has been in your shoes we are all in different places in our lives. We just look forward to hangin’ out with you and getting to know you.
Can we invite a friend?
Absolutely, all we ask is that you talk to the leader and host home to give them a heads up to be able to provide more food and seating.
