ONE Lock-in was a night that won’t soon be forgotten; and not just because we left with absolutely no sleep! Over 140 students came together to spend time playing games, eating really great food and, most importantly, learn that we could all worship together as ONE body! There were so many awesome things about this night that really stood out. The best thing was that we were able to come together as one Body in Christ with another local church, New Life Community Church. Like us, New Life believes that we are all one Body created to serve and worship God together.

The night began with great food and fellowship! Shortly after every one arrived, we began a time of worship. This was the most vital part of the night. You could feel the atmosphere shift as hands began to go up and nearly all the voices in the room were raised to our Father. Watching students who didn’t know each other come together and worship one King was truly an incredible moment.

Later in the night, we broke out into teams and participated in games that made everyone work together and grow as one whether we knew each other or not. This was when relationships started to form. It was a great thing to see because almost everyone in the room formed a new friendship or a new bond because of working together. For the rest of the night we broke out into stationed games, ate snacks, and just hung out, having conversations and making memories.

The hope of this night was to bring unity between different youth groups in the community. Our goal for ONE was met by coming together, diving into the Word, worshiping, and building relationships with one another.  This was truly an unforgettable night and a break through for youth groups in this area.

“THERE IS ONE BODY, AND ONE SPIRIT, JUST AS YOU WERE CALLED TO ONE HOPE WHEN YOU WERE CALLED; ONE LORD, ONE FAITH, ONE BAPTISM; ONE GOD AND FATHER OF ALL, WHO IS OVER ALL AND THROUGH ALL AND IN ALL.”
