About The Sermon Series
The church was never meant to be a gallery of perfect people, but a group of imperfect people perusing a perfect Savior. Many of the problems and questions that plagued the Corinthian church are still present in the church today. The Body of Christ is not immune to things like division and immorality. The Book of 1 Corinthians very well could have been written to the church today and we would do well to heed Paul’s warnings and apply them to ourselves. Despite all the rebukes and corrections, 1 Corinthians brings our focus back to where it should be—on Christ alone. A proper understanding of the resurrection of Christ, as well as a proper understanding of our own resurrection, is the cure for what divides and defeats us.
About The Series Guide
Through the next 29 weeks, we will be exploring the book of 1 Corinthians. One of best ways to connect into this series is to go through our sermon guides week-by-week, by yourself, with your spouse or family or through joining a Journey Group! (a lot of our Journey Groups use their small group time to dive deeper into Sunday’s message).
